These terms govern the use of the AIEchoLang mobile application and the echolang.io website (the "Service"). By installing the app or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

2. Description of the Service
AIEchoLang is an application for live two-way voice translation. Speech recognition and translation run locally on the user's device. The Service is provided free of charge, "as is", without mandatory registration.
3. Translation accuracy
Translations are produced by machine-learning models and may contain errors, inaccuracies, and loss of nuance. Do not use the app as the sole source of translation where the cost of a mistake is high: medical diagnoses, legal documents, emergencies, safety instructions. For such cases, consult professional translators.
4. Acceptable use
You may not: use the Service for illegal activity, fraud, or incitement of hatred; attempt to extract or modify the app's models or code; present its output as the work of a certified translator; violate third-party rights, including recording conversations without consent where required by law.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its design, code, logo, and site materials are the property of the AIEchoLang developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use of the app. The models used (Whisper, TranslateGemma, etc.) are distributed under their own open licenses.
6. Privacy
Speech recognition and translation run on-device. Your conversations are not sent to our servers. Models are downloaded once from model-distribution servers; after that, the app can work entirely offline.
7. Limitation of liability
The developer is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service, including consequences of inaccurate translation. By using the Service, you accept these risks.
8. Voluntary donations
The app is free. Voluntary support of the developer (including transfers to the crypto wallets listed on the site) constitutes a donation, implies no reciprocal goods or services, and is non-refundable.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always available on this page. By continuing to use the Service after changes, you accept the revised terms.
