Does AIEchoLang work without internet?
Yes. After you download the on-device models once, speech recognition (Whisper) and translation (TranslateGemma) run on your iPhone — on a plane, in the subway, or abroad without roaming.
Is the voice translator free?
Yes. AIEchoLang has no subscription and no ads. You can optionally support development with a donation.
Which languages does the offline translator support?
33 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi, and more. The interface follows your language.
Are my conversations uploaded to the cloud?
No. Translation runs on the device. Conversations are not sent to our servers and are not used to train models.
Do I need an account?
No. Download AIEchoLang from the App Store and start speaking — no sign-up.
How do two people talk with the app?
Pick two languages. Hold the left half of the screen to speak your language and the right half for your companion. Original and translation appear as chat bubbles and can be spoken aloud.
How much storage do the models need?
Speech recognition is about 626 MB; on-device translation is about 2.2 GB. After that the app can work fully offline.
